“He Always Wanted to Build Something of His Own.”

For Muhammed Shamil, entrepreneurship started long before he entered digital marketing.

As a child, he sold board game cards to his friends. Later, he found ways to earn money online through gaming communities. These experiences sparked his interest in business from an early age.

Over the years, he continued exploring different opportunities.

In 2022, he started an educational platform that eventually grew to around 500 students. Although the venture showed good progress initially, it shut down after running for some time.

Instead of seeing it as a failure, Shamil treated it as a learning experience.

After that, he joined a SaaS startup as a marketing intern, where he gained practical exposure to how businesses operate. The experience helped him understand team management, business operations, and the importance of solving real problems.

Even after these experiences, he felt there was still more to learn.

That was when he came across HACA Marketing School.

Finding Direction at HACA Marketing School

When Shamil came across HACA, he believed it was the right place to learn modern digital marketing.

He joined the Digital Marketing Offline Batch 13 with the hope of learning from experienced mentors and gaining practical knowledge.

Looking back, he says the mentors played a big role in his journey. They were approachable, supportive, and always encouraged students to learn by doing.

For Shamil, the internship was one of the most valuable parts of the course. Students worked with tools, platforms, and real marketing activities that helped them understand how digital marketing works in the real world.

Alongside learning at HACA, Shamil also started documenting his journey through YouTube. One of his videos caught the attention of the founder of Zappq, who invited him to join the startup. There, he worked as a Fractional CMO and was part of the team that raised $10,000 in angel funding.

Launching DUS Media While Still Learning

While studying at HACA, Shamil and two of his friends co-founded DUS Media, a marketing agency offering services in marketing strategy, content production, and design.

The agency grew quickly in its early days. For a while, everything seemed to be moving in the right direction.

Then reality hit.

Over time, the agency faced several challenges, including client losses, unpaid invoices, and differences between the co-founders. Eventually, DUS Media shut down, leaving Shamil with nearly $5,000 (around ₹5–6 lakh) in debt.

Starting Again From Zero

To manage his expenses and repay the debt, Shamil accepted a job as a salesperson at BlowLin in February 2025.

It wasn't the role he had imagined for himself. But he saw it as another opportunity to learn.

Within a few months, his work ethic and contribution helped him move into a leadership position.

Today, Shamil runs BlowLin Digital...

Looking Ahead

At just 23, Shamil has already experienced business success, failure, debt, and rebuilding.

His goal now is to continue scaling BlowLin while documenting his journey so other aspiring entrepreneurs can learn from both his successes and his mistakes.

Looking back, he doesn't describe his journey as a series of failures. He describes it as a series of lessons that helped him build something stronger.
